Nansulate
Revolutionary insulating product
The results obtained to date have allowed enhancing the traditional concept of thermal insulation, replacing conventional material with alternative solutions.
Nansulate® Translucent products are easy-to-apply environmentally-friendly industrial coatings that solve all common problems related to joints or adaptation to plant-engineering structures.
A very thin layer of coating provides superior thermal insulation, effective corrosion protection and excellent mold resistance.
All this means saving time and maintenance costs, increasing operator productivity, efficiency and the safety of buildings and plants. A combination of opportunities that helps understanding the advantages of nanotechnology for human resource, energy and environmental economy in general.
Nansulate® is a patented technology and a registered trademark of Industrial Nanotech Inc.

Multi-protection
The component providing Nansulate Translucent with its exceptional thermal-insulation features combines one of the best insulating material in the world, called Hydro-NM-Oxide, with acrylic resins and performance additives.
Its unique porous structure of nanometric sizes hinders the path for heat transfer due to its very low thermal conductivity.
As thermal conductivity is the ability to conduct heat, the lower the value, the better the ability to insulate.
Nansulate Translucent also provides perfect adhesion to the sub-layer and excellent resistance to corrosive and proliferous agents such as rust, mold and fungi. Its superior surface protection is the result of a very efficient, safe and unique chemistry of the particles.
One of the products in the range, Nansulate LDX, is a high-performance protective lead encapsulation coating with a 20-year warranty.
Nansulate products unleash a great potential to address problems that have always sparked serious concerns in the world of insulation, i.e. concerning the condition of installations and structures not only requiring an efficient thermal insulation, but also protection against aggressive agents, which are the main reason for deterioration, decreased performance and subsequent economic loss.
Ultra-thin material
This means that size of solid insulating materials increases proportionately to the performance required, while the potential value of Nansulate Translucent remains constant throughout the conditions of use provided for. In fact, no more than 3 coatings need to be applied (an overall dry layer equal to 0.18 mm).
Saves space and work
When it comes to building and construction, the thickness of a solid insulating material of just a few cm is increased during the application of the layer of glues, necessary structural supports and finishes.
The result is an actual increase in the space required by the insulating material, which is subsequently subtracted from the cubic volume of the rooms. This is easy to calculate, with an economic loss as cost per square meter of the living unit that must not be underestimated.
Nansulate thickness remains constant, that is its real thickness of 0.18 for 3 coatings – a value that is totally irrelevant in the context of construction cubic volumes.
In addition to the valuable space occupied by traditional insulation installed in residential and industrial installations, one must also consider the complex and difficult shaping of special components such as flanges, valves, fittings, tanks, etc., which requires significant application time by the installers. Without considering the project calculations required to choose the most product for each operating situation.
The great expense for support accessories, transportation, storage and managing the warehouse where the bulky materials are stored in different shapes and sizes is a serious problem that involves all sectors of traditional insulation.
Nansulate Translucent offers standard products that can be adapted to any specific application situation, all packaged in small easy-to-manage cans or bins. The application tools necessary are those normally used in painting, and include a brush, a roller and a spray gun. No other accessories are required because the coating perfectly adheres and naturally adapts to the shape of the sub-layer, whatever it is. Nansulate primer paint or final coating is applied like a standard insulating paint. Safety measures only require complying with application instructions.
