Covers - Aeropan – The evolution of the species

AEROPAN is a new panel, created with thermal insulation in mind. It is made of aerogel, one of the best thermal insulators, along with a breathable, laminated membrane in polypropylene and is reinforced with a glass fiber and special additives.
It is only 10 mm thick and has a thermal conductibility of 0,013 W/(m*K) . It can be used in a temperature range from -200° C to +200° C.
AEROPAN is basically made of a flexible AEROGEL nanoporous insulation capable of reducing energy loss. It also reduces the width size needed for building work in both commercial and residential buildings.
AEROGEL’s unique features such as extremely low thermal conductivity, compression resistance, hydrophobicity combined with a special reinforced-fiber, thermal-formed surface, make AEROPAN extremely versatile and easily applicable. It has excellent impact resistance, dimensional stability and maintains performance over time.
Thanks to our nanotechnology patent, AEROPAN‘s insulator combines silica gel with reinforced fibers in order to achieve thermal performance at an industrial level in a product that is environmentally safe and easy to use.
AEROPAN was developed with the intention of speeding up and simplifying the initial preparatory stages prior to installing the AEROGEL insulation on the building structure. The most difficult part of the installation is preparing the material to be applied. This phase however is eliminated because our material is pre-finished and ready to be used.
With AEROPAN applying the AEROGEL on a building site is greatly simplified in comparison to using traditional types of thermal insulation on the market.
- the panel installation is made easier by the reduced amount of work;
- the material is ready to be used, pre-finished;
- improved technical and qualitative performance of the building.
The AEROPAN panel, which is semi-rigid and easy to handle, offers extreme mechanical strength and is capable of absorbing shocks without risking surface deformations.
AEROPAN is placed on the existing support system by using the classic glue-method. The grooves found on the panels are then used, thus making it easy and precise when positioning the panels. This ensures the minimum amount of anchors required by the technical regulations in force. The surface texture helps increase the mechanical features’ efficiency and guarantees a solid base for the eventual shaving. As a matter of fact you can place the shaving layer directly on AEROPAN with the relevant reinforcement mesh making it suitable for the subsequent colored or tinted finishing paste.
AEROPAN has undeniable advantages:
- it’s lightweight;
- rapidly installed;
- effective resistance to UV rays, water and weather conditions;
- absolute stability in any weather conditions;
- it’s sound absorbing;
- it’s easy to work with and reduces dust emission;
- ease of storage and handling on site.
As a result of its intrinsic features AEROPAN represents the best long-term value for money.
Its limited thickness makes it absolutely irreplaceable when placing thermal insulation on buildings that need energy upgrading.
For this reason it can be considered the definitive solution for recovering thermal insulation of internal walls and ceilings and eliminating thermal bridges on pillars, balconies, parapets and general covering work.
AEROPAN‘s thermal barrier guarantees the best thermal insulation possible in the least amount of space and the least amount of masonry accessories (there is no need to dismantle sills, shutters, doors, etc.)
Its excellent thermoelastic damping features and high compression resistance make it usable for various work:
- thermal and acoustic insulation of floors
- thermal and acoustic insulation in flat and sloping roofs
